Q: What is the SUMMER KICKOFF CLASSIC?
A: The SUMMER KICKOFF CLASSIC is a U10-U15 Boys & Girls soccer tournament. The event is designed to promote the highest level of competition available in youth soccer in South Texas.

Q: Where do we mail our entry fee?
A: Your team check should be mailed to Challenge Soccer Club, Attn: Texas Shootout, 16949 N. Eldridge Pkwy, Suite 770-203, Tomball, TX 77377. Be sure to include your FULL TEAM NAME is the memo of the check.
Q: Do teams have to stay in certain hotels?
A: Yes, teams traveling in from more than 60 miles away must book hotel rooms through Athlete Travel. Failure to make hotels reservations through Athlete Travel will result in the non-acceptance of your team. A representative from Athlete Travel will contact your team within 3 business days of your teams acceptance to the event.
Q: Our team has a schedule conflict, what do I do?
A: Major concerns that may prevent a team’s participation can be addressed via email to patotoole@challengesoccer.com and ashley.fendley@challengesoccer.com. Be sure to include your FULL TEAM NAME, AGE GROUP, BRACKET in the email. No schedule changes/requests will be accepted after May 26, 2026.
Q: Where do we get updated information in case of inclement weather?
A: In case of inclement weather, instructions will be given at the tournament headquarters tent at each park, and posted on the Challenge website, emails sent through Constant Contact, Facebook and Twitter @challengesoccer.com
Q: What color does the home team wear?
A: The HOME team wears their dark uniform; AWAY teams wear white. Teams without two sets of uniforms will be allowed to use “pennies” to provide a unique identification.
Q: When do games begin?
A: Games start at 8:00am on Saturday, May 30th and will also conclude by 5:00pm on Sunday, May 31st.
Q: When and where is team check-in?
A: ALL teams will check-in online. Information will be sent via email the first week of May.
Q: What is required for check-in?
A: Official State Roster (US Club Soccer or US Youth Soccer) or Event Roster: with all players that will be playing on the roster – including guest players – can be written in: all players need to have uniform numbers on the rosters. Guest players from outside of the club will need guest player forms. **Contact your State Association to find out what you need if you have a guest player from outside of your club. The rules vary state by state.
Q: Where are the games played?
Q: When will the schedule be posted?
A: The schedule will be approximately 7 days prior event. Please check the Challenge Soccer Club website for schedule changes.
Q: Will athletic trainers be present at the park all day?
A: Yes, athletic trainers from Houston Methodist Orthopedics & Sports Medicine will be on-site the entire weekend. They arrive 45 minutes prior to the first scheduled game and leave shortly after the final game. Their HQ tent at Meyer Park is located near Field 1. Athletic trainers will also be on golf carts roving around the complex.
